Mix Tape '92

The Foundry is going to allow us to plug in an iPod during the party.

Of course we'll play "Time for me to Fly" a few times, but we need more suggestions!

Baby Got Back?
I'm Too Sexy?
2 Legit to Quit?

What were YOU listening to between 1988 and 1992? Tell us in the comments and we'll do our best to hold our boom box up to the radio and record it!

Don't forget to buy your tickets! The deadline is September 15.

Glad you asked! You need some alternative in there and grunge. Very important to many of us these years. I never understood why "Time For Me to Fly" was the theme, it wasn't even from our generation! Anyway, I digress. Here is my high school playlist.

Nirvana, Smells like Teen Spirit album, grunge was probably the biggest musical influence to come out of these years. You should play alot of these songs.

Jawbreaker, anything off unfun, maybe Fine day

Dinosaur Jr. something off Green Mind, maybe Freak Scene

Green Day, My Generation (not new stuff, something off of Kerplunk!)

Screeching Weasel: something off My Brain Hurts, maybe I wanna be with you tonight

I think everyone's suggestions so far are right on--Nirvana, Pearl Jam--but also, the boom-chica-boom stuff like C & C Music Factory-I can't remember, but you know, that dancy kind of stuff. And yes, "Time for me to Fly"?? Ditto to whoever said it wasn't even from our generation! I remember my vote, and it was "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday" Boyz to Men!!!!

"Under The Bridge" - Red Hot Chili Peppers , "To Be With You" - Mr Big , "November Rain" - Guns N' Roses , "Diamonds & Pearls" - Prince , "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover" - Sophie B. Hawkins , "Tennessee" - Arrested Development , "The One" - Elton John , "One" - U2 , "Friday I'm In Love" - The Cure , "Free Your Mind" - En Vogue.

Just a few ideas. Funny how some of these I haven't heard since '92 but could probably still sing word-for-word.

I think New Kids on the Block and Guns N Roses were voted best new groups in our freshman yearbook.

It's good to see even 17 years later we all still have excellent taste in music! I seem to remember a house song that B96 used to play called Rita something or other? Anyone else remember it?
